Paul, Graham and Tim

A tribute to three of my best friends: Paul Kostamo (craziest man I know), Graham Blackburn (renaissance man of grand proportion), Tim Kostamo (most prone man I know; our captain). I'd sail with you anywhere! Let's make it an adventure worth living!

Wow, I'm the first to comment on your blog... ever. I'm not sure I deserve such an honor. Well, thanks for the invite, friend. You and Kari are always in my thoughts and prayers. I look forward to learning more about you via your blogspot since I don't have the opportunity to hang out with you in person these days, sadly. I think it's awesome that you and your friends have an annual adventure date. What did Kari say you call it? Something funny that I can't remember. Anyway... much love :)

hey, i'm glad i found your blog!! I've been thinking of you guys because Jason had a housewarming party last weekend and i saw your cousin too. I hope I can hear more about what you've been up to, since you left. give my love to Kari!!!!

Gandalf the Grey

But the last-comer was named among the elves Mithrandir, the Grey Pilgrim, for he dwelt in no place, and gathered to himself neither wealth nor followers, but ever went to and fro in the Westlands ... befriending all folk in times of need. Warm and eager was his spirit for he was the Enemy of Sauron, opposing the fire that devours and wastes with the fire that kindles, and succours in wanhope and distress; but his joy, and his swift wrath, were veiled in garments grey as ash, so that only those that knew him well glimpsed the flame that was within. Mostly he journeyed unwearyingly on foot, leaning on a staff; and so he was called among Men of the North Gandalf, 'Elf of the Wand'.
